PHA Heartflix 2017… Because your heart matters!

We invite everyone to view and take part in the PHA Heartflix- the PHA Video Advocacy Contest. In the current age, video infomercials are effective ways to communicate messages of companies or organizations, promote a certain product or idea, or simply act as a marketing strategy to endorse advocacies and projects of an association. Video infomercials have become an effective way to communicate a particular message to today’s public.

In line with the PHA’s Mission of ensuring quality cardiovascular care and education, the Website Committee presents the PHA Heartflix - a video infomercial contest among the fellows in training of the PHA training institutions. Out of the many video entrees sent by the different institutions, six (6) made it to the Top 6 Finalists. These will be published in PHA's Facebook page and open for viewing and voting for the People’s Choice Award starting April 27, 2017. These videos will likewise be evaluated by a panel of judges. The winners will be announced during the Closing Ceremonies of this year’s Annual Convention in EDSA ShangriLa.

Real World 2016

Prepping up for the Real World

Tailored to the needs of new faces in the medical-cardiovascular community, the Real World Practice Forum is a vast mine of invaluable insights and practical survival tools.

The cloistered hospital life is a far cry from the huge real world. Hence, veteran cardiologists and mentors have assumed the responsibility of preparing their protégés for the new chapter in their lives. Whether they want to be a clinician, a professor, a pharma medical director, or take on multi-jobs, they need to be equipped with all the essentials.

Cardiology fellows from various institutions and hospitals gathered at The Patriot Building in Sucat, Parañaque City to partake in the meaningful discussions on Nov. 26, 2016 and December 3, 2016, hosted by PHA director and CEPC co-Chair Dr. Gilbert Vilela.
Subjects ranged from ethics and workplace morale, down to the technical issues entailing the services of a doctor.

PHA Xmas Party 2016

Fun & Glam

PHA Christmas party bash 2016

The annual holiday events the PHA holds for its members and allies alike have been consistently storied occasions, and each year boasts a celebration distinctly memorable from the last. This year, the PHA Christmas Party outdid previous occasions by kicking off with a different rhythmic flavor.IMG 2018

Aside from the familiar figureheads of the PHA, both present and former, old and new faces also graced the event hailing from various pharmaceutical industries and other allies of PHA’s advocacies and projects, each of whom PHA President Dr. Raul Lapitan introduced.

PHA Board first-timer and party master Dr. Jude Erric Cinco, rightfully got to showcase his quirky and showman side, even just from his two-piece suit brightened by a scarlet bow tie and topped with a bright brown fedora hat.

This just goes to show how the organization still lives up to its glamorous reputation in holding get-together parties while still keeping the fun facade intact. Indeed, this mood blend proved to be effective in giving a mysterious shroud to the real theme of the party. All Cinco had to give out to the audience to prepare for was to “be ready, wear your dancing shoes and clear your voices just in case.”
